Mother’s Day cards are due on March 31, 2013 for Operation Write Home so I’ve been working diligently every day to make sure I get mine in on time. Here are a few.
This card has no sentiment. I usually make quite a few without sentiments so they can be used for any occasion. This was made using Card Creator, GinaK Design paper and cardstock.
Don’t forget your “Any Hero” card(s). I used sketch #163 for my inspiration. The stars are cut out of fabric. You can’t really see it in the photo but there is a royal blue and red ribbon under the star in the middle. I didn’t want to use a “bow” as this is for any soldier (male or female).
Another card with no sentiment and I made it using fabric (the pansy). I learned this technique at Farmhouse Memories in Paradise, PA. Spellbinders Card Creator (Floral Ribbon Threader) was used
Here is another technique I learned at Farmhouse Memories (it’s been around for quite a few years), using the innies of Outline Stickers. GinaK Design cardstock and paper. (Computer generated sentiment).
I used paper from Kaisercraft (These Days); Spellbinders Fancy Ribbon Threader; Spellbinders Oval Die. Just because it’s called “ribbon threader” doesn’t mean you have to use the ribbon (haha). Outline sticker from Dazzle (colored with Copic markers).
Paper from Kaisercraft, outline sticker from Dazzle, copic markers and spellbinders dies.
