We are in the final stages of Finishing Strong over at Operation Write Home. This weeks sketch can be found here.
I have been playing around with doodling on my floral and butterfly die cuts and while they are out on my desk, I thought I would use a few for this sketch. I made a miss you card so I can also enter that in the June ODBD challenge. Here is the card:
I saw this color combo on pinterest. I am not a friend of the yellow family, especially orange. But the card I saw looked fantastic with that hot pink so I had some of those colors and tried it. I really like it.
I don’t want to purchase any more items but I would like to use what I have and it is soooooo difficult. I am looking for new ways to use my older supplies, so that my cards are current looking and use up to date techniques. I used the Floral Medley from MFT (I don’t think it is available any longer) and just added my own little dots and lines to them to make them look doodled (is that a word?). And as I mentioned before I love the dazzles jewel stickers which don’t add any bulk when mailing but give your designs a current look (think sequins). The EF is an old favorite cuttlebug and the papers are from Stamps of Life.
Thanks for stopping by.
Anne, I’m with Carol — your doodling is amazing! And, how clever to combine the two OWH challenges. Thanks so much for hanging in there and finishing strong with our OWH challenges. 🙂
Your doodling took this card over the top! I love the colors and cute little sparkly stickers you used, and the embossing looks perfect with this sketch! NJ!
