As a child you always wanted to sit as close to the fireworks as possible, but fireworks are best viewed at a distance. There is something about the “Grand Finale” when watching fireworks. As a child I was sad when it came — it meant the show was over. As an adult I sing (in my head of course) “and the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.” At the height of the finale, I get goose bumps, my heart leaps, I feel proud of my country, and I am so very grateful to be an American and think of all those who have fought to keep me free and from harm.
So my card today reflects the “Grand Finale”.
The stamps are from Cloud 9 and stamped with Versa Mark, embossed with fine detail silver powder. The back ground stamps are from MFT Watercolor Backdrops and the subtle background stamp MFT Sheet Background Music.
This card is going into the last box to OWH to thank one of our wonderful heroes. I am linking this up to Cards In Envy.
Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy 4th. God Bless America.
