Mid Month Throwdown

For the last mid month throwdown at OWH we are asked to make love cards with no hearts.  There are many theories as to how the symbol for love came to be the heart. The heart is a major organ in our body that keeps our blood flowing. And just like all the other organs in our bodies — it is not very pleasant to look at. You have to look really hard to see the heart shape. The other day I was driving and the car in front of me stopped abruptly – I almost slammed into him, I had to pull off to the side of the road because my heart was beating so fast and I was shaking. Almost every emotion we feel is connected to our hearts.

Here are a few quotes which contain the word heart:

Helen Keller:  The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.

Nelson Mandela: A good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination.

Leonardo da Vinci: Tears come from the heart and not from the brain.

Mahatma Gandhi: Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one’s weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.

Charles R. Swindoll: I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let’s face it, friends make life a lot more fun.

These quotes go out to all my OWH friends, especially the last one. Walking this journey with all of you has been more than I could ever have imagined. It has been pure JOY reading your posts, seeing all your beautiful cards and learning all the little tips and tricks along the way. Thank you so much. I’ll see you around the web! Love you!!!

I have two cards for you today.
