With my vision getting better I am slowly returning to my love of reading. While struggling with my vision the past few years, I have had to use a Kindle, a Nook and my computer to read books. Although I am thankful that all these devices have helped me remain normal, there is something special about the feel of a book. I love the different fonts (both type and size), and there is nothing better than the smell of a brand new book. The sound of flipping through a book is calming.
The Harry Potter series of books was quite the sensation back in the late 90s and continued to be into the new century. If you wanted to have a great conversation with most high school children, Harry was the way to go.
My card for Words to Scrap By #20 — you guessed it — Harry Potter. I had this image in my digital file for sometime (I used it for Halloween Cards). I found it in an Etsy Shop (2Cuteink) and the artist is Heidi Arrowood. I have also used MoJo Monday #411 sketch.
Everything was colored using Copics. I used a Kraft card base and the coordinating papers and washi tape are from Stamps of Life. Well, this time I am remembering to Link It to W2SB and I didn’t wait til the end of the month (Woot Woot for me). This card will be going off to SAS4Kids.

Thanks for stopping by.
What a darling little Harry Potter card! I’ve never read nor seen Harry Potter, so I’m living under a rock apparently, but the card is so cute! So glad your eyes are improving too!
Such a cute card. Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday!
Oh, I just love, love your little wizard owl, it reminds me of the Walt Disney movie, “The Sword in the Stone”, remember Merlin’s little owl Archimedes? Such a sweet character and you capture him in your fabulous Halloween card.
Thank you for sharing at Mojo Monday.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.

Hi, Anne!
First of all, so glad your vision is improving. I totally understand what you mean about the feel of an actual book.
Secondly, I love your Harry Potter tribute! This image is adorable, and it is easy to see why you used it to make Halloween cards.
Thanks so much for playing along with our book-inspired Words 2 Scrap By challenge. 🙂
From another Harry Potter fan – great job!!!! I love how you offset the image, and colored it so beautifully!!
