I am honored to have been invited to be the Guest Designer over at Dee Dee’s Digis for the month of October 2015. For the next four Wednesday’s you will see one of my creations using digital images from Dee Dee.
After several attempts at this card this is the final product. You know how it is — a finger smudge here, a crooked stamp there, here a @#$% there a $#@ everywhere a %$#@!
Take a look at the Digi here. As you can see I only used the heads of the four cute animals using a circle die cut. Using watercolor cardstock, I made a background using Distress Inks. Once it dried I die cut four circles into the watercolor cardstock. I used a Paper Smooches die for the top and bottom of the cardstock. I attached the watercolor cardstock to a Kraft card base, then I inlaid the animal circles for a perfect fit. It needed a little something else so I created the circle frame around each animal by using two dies together and cutting them into the zebra print cardstock and adhered them around each circle. The sentiment is from an older Technique Tuesday stamp set called It’s A Zoo. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine black ink and clear embossing powder went over that for a shiny effect.
Please consider following me. I would really appreciate it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day — see you next week.
This card is wild in all the right ways! I love how you punched out the animal heads to make this. Thank you so much for being our Guest Designer this month! I love knowing that you donate your cards for such wonderful causes, and can’t wait to see what you make next.
