The current challenge over at Words 2 Craft By uses the following quote for inspiration this month:
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
I am spending more time art journaling these days. When I read this quote I knew it had to be go in my art journal. Jumping into art journaling is a big leap. You have to accept mess, inking fingers, glue all over the place and every drawer in your craft room open! If you scrap book and/or make cards you already have ample supplies. So here is my mess. I am getting better but not as good as what I see on you tube or on Pinterest. But this is my attempt and I feel naked sharing it with all of you.
I used acrylic paints for the background (3 for a dollar at AC Moore), the pumpkin and script is a napkin (from the dollar store). The leaves I stamped on different colored cardstock and cut out. I don’t know where I got the jeweled leaves but they were in my embellishment supply. I use Sharpies for my outlining and lettering, both fine and broad tip.
I did attempt to share the following page in last months challenge but I was too late.
Thanks for stopping by.
Anne, How fun to see journal pages in our W2CB gallery. And, I’m with Bobbi. This is definitely lovely! Thanks so much for playing along with our Words 2 Craft By autumn-themed challenge. It’s always fun to see non-card projects … and it’s always a pleasure to see one of your wonderful creations. 🙂
Thanks Sybrina!
This is NOT a mess, it is quite lovely!! I think we are our own worst critics. Especially when things don’t turn out as we envision. Love your interpretation, and thank you for playing along with us at Words 2 Craft By for our Autumn Flowers challenge!
Aww you are so sweet Bobbi.
