Today I would like to share this card I made using the August 2018 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.
I made a barnboard background – using GinaK green cardstock (sorry don’t know the name of the color), I scored the lines, ran a white pigment ink pad down the card to give it a whitewashed look. Then using the stamps and sentiment from the kit I created the scene. I used old book paper crumbled it up, straightened it out, then ran Vintage Distress Ink over it, let it dry, and then cut out three hearts from a die cut. The three embellished hearts are also from the kit. All the images were colored with Copic Sketch Markers. The sentiment was heat embossed with white detail embossing powder and whitewashed to match the barn theme.
In addition to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (anything goes), I would like to share this card in the following challenges:
Crafting By Design – Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday – Anything Goes
Lemon Shortbread – Anything Goes
I don’t know about you but I can never remember to use my embossing buddy. So I marked my containers to remind me and it has been working.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day.
So pretty! I love how the patterned paper gives it a very rustic feel. The coloring is very pretty! I am waiting for this kit to arrive. I love your creation with it. Thank you so much for joining us on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. xx Ankita
