For the month of April the challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers is to use something that can be repurposed or something that can be used in a different way. I love using colorful paper napkins or napkins with a theme for my cards.
There are many videos on YouTube where you can learn to do this technique. I peel the layer or layers off the back. 2 Ply napkins have 1 backing on the napkin. 3 Ply napkins have 2 backings on the napkin.
I carefully place the napkin on my base and test how it will fit and look. I cut the napkin with scissors adding 1″ around all sides so I can attach it to the base and wrap it around the back. This is the back of the card:
I then cover my base with mod podge, place the napkin to the base, wrapping it around to the back. Then I add another layer of mod podge right over the napkin – you have to be patient and work very slowly as not to tear the napkin.
These type of designs are the one I like best. Let the napkin shine and just add a ribbon and sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.
