Can you believe it is 2020? I can’t. The older I get the faster time flies. This past year I was introduced to two more grandchildren (5 now). It is a very exciting time for my husband and I. We have Jackson (13), Julianna (10), Landon (3), Weston (9 months) and Julius (3 months).

The current challenge over at Stinkin Inkers for January 2020 is “Staying Warm”. Anything related to staying warm over the winter: hats, coats, sweaters, hot beverages, blankets, mittens, etc.

Here is my card:

I used a discontinued stamp set from Sweet N Sassy to create my card.

Stinkin Inkers is hooking up with Double Trouble Paper Crafting Challenge (click on the link to find out the particulars). Double Trouble Challenges are fun and innovative as they try to combine other challenges with theirs. It gives us more reasons to be creative.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

I have been extremely busy receiving and sorting all your lovely creations to send to SAS4Kids, the Veterans Homes in PA, Nursing Homes and more recently found 2 more organizations to send to our soldiers overseas. Thank you all so very much.

I open up each box, package, envelope and am so inspired. There is just one problem. I am busy sorting and shipping cards and have no time for my own creations, but that is OK with me because I know the recipients receiving your cards have smiles on their faces and emotions that we cannot describe.

Things that Sparkle

This is the last challenge for 2019 over at Stinkin Inkers. “Things That Sparkle” use gems, glitter, foil, etc, on your project.


For this card I pulled out gold foiled and silver foiled outline stickers. I attached these three gold poinsettias to Micro Fine Glitter Paper and colored them in using Copic Markers. I also had (only two) holly leaves on hand and did the same process for those. I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment. I attached all the outline stickers to a piece of card stock (red dots) and then attached the red dots to DCWV Fine Gitter card stock and then attached that to a card base. I added a fine line of the green DCWV glittered cardstock above the Merry Christmas sentiment to bring attention to the sentiment.

Hello my friends. Today starts the October challenge over at Stinkin Inkers . I love the name of this challenge.

“Random Acts of Kindness”

Create a project for “Thinking of You, Thank You, You’re the Best, Cheer Up, etc.

Fancy Folds

This month’s challenge over at Stinkin’ Inkers is to create a card using your favorite fun fold. So here is my card.

I used the Stamps of Life Step Card die to create the base, the papers are from AC Moore and the stamp sets I used are from Scrapping for Less.

This card will be shipped off to SAS4Kids (I am a shipper and ship to 4 different hospitals).

Getting Back In The Game

I have been very sparse in my posts this last year due to some personal issues. Isn’t it funny. I have a magnet on my fridge that says “Life gets in the way when you are making other plans.” This has been true for me this last year.

Here is a card I made recently just for the fun of it. I don’t have the energy to find a challenge to post it too. Just wanted to share.

The stamp set I purchased at Joann’s and came with the dies. The balloons are from a very old Spellbinders set. I created the background using the samestamp as the image.

The June challenge for Stinkin’ Inkers is It’s a Colorful World. Use your favorite colors. I love Distress Oxides for blending and that is what I used on my card today. It is a very simple card yet colorful. I have had this birthday embossing folder forever (still one of my favorites) the cupcake stamp is from Stamps by Judith.

Birthday Card for FB Group

So I joined the Always Be Creative FB Group a few months back. I had been following Desiree on YouTube and I was drawn into Desiree’s voice on her YouTube channel (Include a Thank You and Then Some) immediately – she sounded just like me. Come to find out she is from my area. We both share a heavy Philly accent. When she started the FB Group I had to jump in.

So this is my first card sharing it over at the FB Group and it will be going to one of the members who will be having an upcoming birthday.

What I love about this group is there are no mistakes, no do overs, “just go with it” attitude. And she has a live stream a few Sundays a month where we all get to interact and meet each other.
