Digital Image, Imagine That digis, Kids, Send A Smile 4 Kids

I won (random draw) this digi by answering a question in a poll over at Imagine That digistamps (facebook page). I love how the sentiment is designed to hug and fit perfectly along the mermaid. I will be linking this to the monthly challenge which is entitled Summer.

Imagine That digistamp: Mermaid Swimming; colored with Copics; Darice EF; Recollections flower embellishments.

This will be going in the next shipment to SAS4KIDS.

For today’s card I used this adorable little girl enjoying her chocolate which will go to one of the kids at SAS4KIDS.

Imagine-That-Chocolate-GirlThe digital image is from Imagine That digis by Kris (precolored) In person you can see the Wink of Stella I added to the chocolate bar. Papers are from my stash; sentiment and embellishments are from Stamps of Life.

I will be sharing this card with SAS4KIDS and Imagine That digis by Kris.

Sing To The Lord

A very good friend and also my bible study buddy is going through a rough emotional time, grieving over not being able to see her granddaughters regularly. Her only child and his family live an eight hour drive, so they only get to see them three to four times a year. So I suggested she send them cards so they can keep them and the girls will be reminded of her and her husband when they look at them. They are eight and five. I am making her a bunch to have on hand. This is my first one.

Sing-to-the-LordThis sweet digital image is from Imagine That digis By Kris.  The papers are from Stamps of Life and so is the floral die cut border. I thought Psalm 96:1 was perfect with this image. I generated the verse on my computer and the enamel dots are from my stash.

You Rock

First I would like to thank all of our courageous soldiers who have defended our country’s freedom. I especially pray for the families of those who lost someone in the military while serving. Thank you.

I had a little time to spend in the craft room today and had the opportunity to finish (finally) a few cards. I am a volunteer with Send A Smile 4 Kids and have two hospitals that I collect and make cards for. When I saw this image I had to have it to make a few cards for the older kids (it is always a challenge to create cards for the older kids).

5×5 square card using digital image from Imagine That digis by Kris. MFT musical background stamp. Papers from my stash. I will be linking this up to Imagine That blog.

Real Girls Play Football

We celebrated our granddaughter’s 7th birthday yesterday and the theme of her party was “football”. She just finished up basketball and is scheduled for flag football in August. So I searched for a girl playing football digi stamp to make her card and found one on Etsy at 641Digital.

Colored with copics and added wink of stella to the football, hair bows and her pink socks.

This Is The Day

I am working on producing 20 cards for Mother’s Day for my church. The pastor sends them to single mothers in our congregation. The requirements are that they have to have a biblical verse either on the inside or the outside of the card, and they are not overly embellished so that they can be mailed with one stamp. I am making 5 of this card:

Mothers-Day-Card-posted-040I used purple in my last card and everything was out on my desk. This image is from Imagine That digis by Kris. The background stamp, flourish and oval dies are from MFT. The inside is stamped Thinking of You, Happy Mother’s Day.

Well onto the next five cards. Thanks for stopping by.

Spotlight on Purple

The deadline for the challenge at Cards In Envy is tomorrow. I have been working on this card for two weeks — not because it is complicated but because why does life have to interrupt creativity? I am sure more than a few of you agree with me and know exactly where I am coming from. So this morning I decided to get this card done and here it is 4:00 PM and I am just now finishing it. I am a volunteer for SAS4KIDS and this card will be going to St. Christopher’s Hospital Philadelphia.

So now you are probably laughing because I used a pre-colored digi! Why yes I did. This one is from Imagine That! digis by Kris. For the purple I used two shades of cardstock to showcase the purple boots and the dragonfly is from Hero Arts and I colored it yellow to coordinate with the yellow one in the boots (although I think it may be a little too big for the design — but oh well, if I change it now it will be Christmas before I get this finished). I also used MFT rectangles and the Sentiment is from Stamps of Life stamped in Versa Fine and clear embossed on vellum.

I will be linking this up to Imagine That! as well as Cards In Envy.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
