Swinging With The Leaves

The current challenge over at SAS4KIDS is for Cute Fall or Halloween Cards 4 Kids.

sas4kids-fallThis is one of my favorite digi images from Sassy Cheryl’s. I printed her out and colored her up with Copics and Wink of Stella markers (her shoes, socks and hair bow). The papers are from Stamps of Life. No sentiment so that it can be used for any occasion. I punched out a few extra leaves and added them to the card.

Entering and supporting the SAS4KIDS challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Mermaids

I won (random draw) this digi by answering a question in a poll over at Imagine That digistamps (facebook page). I love how the sentiment is designed to hug and fit perfectly along the mermaid. I will be linking this to the monthly challenge which is entitled Summer.

Sing To The Lord

A very good friend and also my bible study buddy is going through a rough emotional time, grieving over not being able to see her granddaughters regularly. Her only child and his family live an eight hour drive, so they only get to see them three to four times a year. So I suggested she send them cards so they can keep them and the girls will be reminded of her and her husband when they look at them. They are eight and five. I am making her a bunch to have on hand. This is my first one.

Sing-to-the-LordThis sweet digital image is from Imagine That digis By Kris.  The papers are from Stamps of Life and so is the floral die cut border. I thought Psalm 96:1 was perfect with this image. I generated the verse on my computer and the enamel dots are from my stash.

You Rock

First I would like to thank all of our courageous soldiers who have defended our country’s freedom. I especially pray for the families of those who lost someone in the military while serving. Thank you.

I had a little time to spend in the craft room today and had the opportunity to finish (finally) a few cards. I am a volunteer with Send A Smile 4 Kids and have two hospitals that I collect and make cards for. When I saw this image I had to have it to make a few cards for the older kids (it is always a challenge to create cards for the older kids).

Real Girls Play Football

We celebrated our granddaughter’s 7th birthday yesterday and the theme of her party was “football”. She just finished up basketball and is scheduled for flag football in August. So I searched for a girl playing football digi stamp to make her card and found one on Etsy at 641Digital.

Colored with copics and added wink of stella to the football, hair bows and her pink socks.

OWH Sketch #198

198

This week’s sketch also includes a special offer from Doodle Pantry as part of their supporting efforts of OWH. I love Doodle Pantry images and use them often. Digis are fun because when you get tired of the same old stamps you can find digis online (search for freebies – there are many). If you are in a bind for a certain image you don’t have — digis are a perfect answer. I love the versatility of this offer, also – colored or non colored images and soooooo many sentiments.

So here is my card using one of the Doodle Pantry two for offer. The sentiment is from another stamp set (sorry don’t know the name).  I thought this would make an adorable card for a child no matter what the occasion. Now does that lion really scare you? I can hear his roar more like a purr. Thanks Doodle Pantry for supporting OWH and making this part of a fundraiser to help defray shipping costs by being so generous with donating 70% of the proceeds.

Midweek Throwdown – Kids!

I packed up 43 cards to go to the Post Office this morning for Operation Write Home and lucky me — I have several KIDS cards included. Here are a few.

This cardstock is Lemon Drop from My Favorite Things and the Hello die is from Elizabeth Crafts.

The images on the next two cards are from Sassy Cheryl and colored with Copics. The little boy card I used My Favorite Things Blueprints 3 die cuts. The sentiment is also MFT. The image was printed from the computer and then I punched the corners.

This one I used Spellbinders Card Creator A-2 Fancy Ribbon Threader die cut on the purple plaid paper (Recollections). I used My Favorite Things Blueprints 3 to die cut the image once it was printed.
