Card Making, Send A Smile 4 Kids

Dollar Tree and Outline Stickers

I don’t know what it is about Dollar Tree but I can never walk out of this store empty handed because “It’s only a dollar” (as my cart has about 20 things in it).

I recently picked up a few of their sticker packs and here are three quick cards I created with things in my stash.

For this first card, I had the dot background in my card base stash already to go. I created it by using distress oxide inks and a dot stencil. I cut the circle die from papers in my stash. I then played around placing the stickers where I thought they would look good. I used a Happy Birthday Outline Sticker (huge fan of outline stickers). I placed the panel on black card stock and adhered that to a white card base.

For the second card I had the card base completed in my card base stash. I thought a frame around the toucan would make it stand out. The sticker is 3D so I didn’t have to do anything but adhere it to the card. I added the 3D balloon to look like it was coming from the parrot’s wing (hand). I added the three stars (from my stash), and again used a Happy Birthday Outline Sticker.

Again I found another card base in my stash which was made from the Stamps of Life birthday papers,  die cut the yellow circle from card stock, added the bird (not sure if he is a toucan or not). I added the Birthday Hat from another Dollar Tree Sticker Pack and added the balloons as well. Again, used a Happy Birthday Outline Sticker.

I am participating in the following challenges:
