Today’s challenge at Operation Write Home (OWH) is to make cards using STARS. I have been working on Valentine’s and cards to send in by December 1st. I’ve been also trying to catch up on all the sketches I’ve missed – many, many, many. So here are two cards.
This one is based on sketch #71. The focal point paper on this image was donated to me by a friend – on the back of the paper is the Paper Studio called vintage flags. The other papers and ribbon were purchased at AC Moore.
This card is based on sketch #83. Same papers. I embossed the star with the sentiment in clear and sponged with Danube Blue (memento), popped up with dimension tape. I used the Kraft cardstock (MFT) because I thought it went well with the vintage flag paper. The color of the papers showed up better in this photo. I just can’t seem to be consistent with photographing my cards.
Thanks for stopping by.
wonderful patriotic cards! I love the kraft with the red.white and blue! I love that you are using the sketches!!!
Really cute cards, love how you were inspired to make not just one card, but two! TFS!
This is a very nice card mixing the vintage paper with the more modern paper.
