This week’s sketch over at Operation Write Home can be found here. I just love these sketches provided by OWH and seeing how different everyone’s cards are. So for this week here is mine.
I used a large woodgrain background stamp on kraft cardstock. I’m not a ribbon user on my cards – but I’ve got a lot of it – so for this card it called for 2 strips of 3.25 x .5 so I added them together and they came close to the measurement of this ribbon. The flower is from My Favorite Things (Die-namics Flower Medley and Die-namics Layered Leaves). To make the flower stand out more, I used Distress Ink (Tea Dye). This was a fun sketch.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great Sunday Funday!
Oh, I just love the woodgrain background stamp on the kraft paper. And the bright and cheery yellow and greens look wonderful together. Great job on this week’s OWH sketch!
I love how the light green paper makes the other colors just pop and look so tropical. Very nice! 🙂
Love how you used the ribbon and die cuts. Great texture!!
Oh, I love the woodgrain background and that pretty flower! Very nice card for the sketch challenge!
I see the Nascar race resumed at precisely the same time the Olympic closing ceremonies began! As much as I love Nascar, I’m watching the Olympics 🙂
This is really pretty, Anne! I love the ribbon and the slight distressing. That wood grain background with the flower is just so pretty!
This card is stunning! I love the woodgrain background and die cut flowers. I have that stamp and never think about it until it’s too late 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration!
I like how you used the chevron paper in the center of the flower; awesome leaf die, too !
This is so cute! I love the woodgrain background. 🙂
